This collection was all about the difference between a controlled design vs an uncontrolled design. I played around with different versions of embellishments and digital embroidery. While making this collection, I discovered a non-conventional process of mass producing beadwork by trapping recycled polystyrene beads between fabrics and digitally embroidering over them.
With this new technique you have the contrast between a controlled design - drawings which were converted and manipulated on the Wilcom software, then digitally embroidered. Controlled beading techniques. Chain couching technique with a planned design.
Uncontrolled design - polystyrene balls falling into sections of my digital embroidery. Chain couching technique with an unplanned design, by throwing the chain onto my design and couching it down where ever it landed.
